The City of Peru is accepting resumes for a full-time Building & Zoning Inspector.
This position is responsible for enforcing the City’s zoning ordinance and all adopted building codes, including plumbing, electrical and energy. This position will also review and respond to all building and zoning requests.
Qualified individual will be knowledgeable and have previous experience with the basic principles and techniques of structural building inspections, permit process and building codes. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or the completion of a related trade school program.
