The Taste of the Illinois Valley is a celebration of food, music, and community! This annual event is held on the first Thursday-Saturday of August at Centennial Park! Admission to this event is free!
The City of Peru would like to extend one last THANK YOU to all of our generous sponsors! All of the sponsors helped make our big event possible and it turned out great each night! Thank you to everyone who attended the event. We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did! Thank you to all of the food vendors that served your delicious varieties! Thank you to all the bands that came to entertain and to Mario Data with Ladd Sound Productions for providing the sound! Thank you to each craft vendor for selling your crafts and the Fun Zone staff for providing such great service to the kids. Peru Fire Department, Peru CSO and Blue and Red Christmas, thank you for bartending each night! The City of Peru has a great Public Works and Electric team that gets things ready for the start of the event, thank you to all of them who worked to set things up! Thank you to everyone who purchased 50/50 tickets to help fund the Kids Zone! Finally, thank you to all the individual volunteers and Taste of the Illinois Valley Committee members who gave up their time to assist during the event! It certainly does not go unnoticed, and the Parks and Recreation department appreciates your efforts!
