The ice skating rink is now CLOSED for the season.
Thank you to everyone that made this winter enjoyable! The skating rink was open for a total of 63 days, which was double the number of days that it had been open in previous years without the rink chiller systemThank you to the Locker Room for stepping up and offering skate rentals during our winter season!

New for 2025-CHILLERS!!
The City of Peru has partnered with the Locker Room, and they are kind enough to bring their team to Washington Park's Schweickert Sports Center / Ice Skating Rink to offer rental skates and sell beverages and snacks!!

Schweickert Arena
The newly constructed 2,600 sq. ft. building includes restrooms, lockers, concessions, skate rental area, and warming fireplace next to the existing ice skating/hockey rink.
Schweickert Arena is particially made possible through the generous donation from the Doug and Rorie Schweickert Charitable Trust.
Ice Skating Rink
The ice skating rink is located on the east side of Washington Park and was constructed in November 2020.
Dimensions: 200 feet x 80 feet
