March 12, 2024 (Per OSF HealthCare-Illinois Valley Facebook Page) -Exciting news, alert! 
OSF HealthCare is thrilled to announce that we are another step closer to opening OSF Saint Elizabeth – Peru on Sunday, April 7 at 7 a.m.! The Illinois Department of Public Health conducted a licensing survey at the Peru hospital on March 5 and we received our license! Our phase one opening will include emergency services and limited inpatient beds, with additional programs and services to come in phase two. Stay tuned for updates as we start making a difference in Peru!
January 29, 2024- The former St. Margaret's Health-Peru hospital is reopening as OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center. The hospital, located at 925 West St., is tentatively scheduled to open April 7, with emergency services and limited inpatient beds. Diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, EKG and respiratory will be available to serve the patients in the ED and inpatient unit. Additional programs and services will become available later in a second phase. There are still many elements that will need to be finalized before officially opening. January 8, 2024- OSF HealthCare is thrilled to announce the opening of a new OSF Medical Group – Obstetrics & Gynecology office in the Illinois Valley. December 4, 2023- OSF HealthCare proudly announces the opening of two new OSF Medical Group - Primary Care offices and an OSF Medical Group – Obstetrics and Gynecology office. November 17, 2023- On Friday, OSF released a statement saying the asset purchase agreement of select real estate and personal property formerly owned by St. Margaret’s Health-Peru and St. Margaret’s Health-Spring Valley has been completed.
October 16, 2023- OSF PromptCare at 1650 Midtown Road in Peru announced it will be open expanded hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week. The walk-in clinic is designed to treat sudden minor illnesses and injuries. PromptCare has an on-site lab, X-ray services and treatment rooms for minor procedures. It's phone number is 815-538-1351

July 6, 2023-OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce the opening of the Midtown Plaza complex, Midtown Health Center, and Granville Clinic. These locations will open Monday morning, July 10, including OSF PromptCare, OSF Medical Group – Primary Care locations, OSF Occupational Health, and OSF Rehabilitation.

June 22, 2023 – OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce the addition of former St. Margaret’s Health providers to its Ministry. OSF has completed phase one of its purchase, which includes Midtown Plaza complex, Midtown Health Center, and Granville Clinic. These locations will open soon to offer the community a variety of new care options, including OSF Medical Group – Primary Care as well as OSF Rehabilitation.
Joining OSF Medical Group - Primary Care at the former Midtown Primary Care location:
Dr. Grant Reed, Dr. Andrew Zidow, Dr. Michelle Vasquez, Dr. Anju Patel, Dr. Kara Fess, and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hallie Konieczki.
Joining OSF PromptCare at the former Midtown walk-in location:
Dr. Rahul Sampat, and APPs Amy Corsolini, Brigitte Pratt, Candace Ramirez, Melissa Ramirez, Keith Christensen, and Tamara Dunlap-Workman.
Dr. Shawn Bailey will join Granville Primary Care. Dr. Dexter Angeles, Dr. Robert Koogler, and Todd Kuzma, APP, will be located at Midtown Plaza.

Former St. Margaret’s patients should request a copy of their medical records from St. Margaret’s Health. St. Margaret’s has partnered with a vendor to assist patients with this process. Per the St. Margaret’s website, instructions for obtaining files are as follows: For the Spring Valley hospital or clinic records, call (815) 664-1583. For the Peru hospital or Peru clinics, call (815) 780-3464 for records. When calling, leave a message and clearly provide your name, date of birth, type of records needed and a call back number. This line is available 24/7 and will offer individuals a direct connection to the information they need during this time. December 31, 2020-St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley and Illinois Valley Community Hospital (IVCH) in Peru have finalized arrangements to consolidate their healthcare operations to form a regional health network. The organization will be known as St. Margaret’s Health and will be governed by SMP Health System. Effective January 1, 2021, IVCH will be known as St. Margaret’s Health-Peru, while St. Margaret’s Hospital will be known as St. Margaret’s Health-Spring Valley.
